Helimod Board

The Summit Radio Solutions Helimod Board is the ultimate integration solution for Tait TM series mobile radios when installed in aircraft.

It adds sidetone—allowing pilots to hear their own voice when transmitting, just like with standard aircraft radios. This is a critical feature for use in aviation and not available on Tait radios by default.

The Helimod installs neatly inside the radio body, plugging into the 18-way internal options connector. It brings mic input, audio output, PTT, and sidetone out to the factory DB9 port on the rear of the radio, keeping the installation clean and compact.

Three onboard trimpots allow fine adjustment of mic level, audio output, and sidetone volume to suit different aircraft audio systems.

The Helimod is a smart alternative to external sidetone interfaces like the NAT AA34-300, offering the same critical functionality in a fully integrated form factor — no extra external hardware required.

For ease of installation, the DB9 pinout matches the original Keith James Helimod board, making it a simple drop-in upgrade for existing systems already using that wiring standard.
